Hi all. :) It's been a crazy couple of months, but my schedule is finally clearing up enough to come join you guys at the site and at Arena again. I had to keep focused on too many random things to throw "OMG I HAVE TO DO A BLOG ENTRY!!!!!111!!!1 RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!" into the flaming heap of things to worry endlessly about, which I would have inevitably done. I've had a tragedy and some triumphs, along with a new member of the family joining us, but I'm otherwise intact and fairly sane still. More on that some other time. I also managed to get not one but two 5K runs out of the way and I think I'm done with them for now. Not because of lack of interest but due to the fact that we've entered the time of year where weather is a crapshoot. Will I get a nice, misty, crisp summer morning or a scorcher that requires a firetruck to follow behind you and blast you with water to avoid heat stroke? I adore summer and blazing heat, but running in 95% humidity on an 85 degree morning isn't pleasant no matter what way you cut it.
I have also had a grand total of 0 G1 ponies added to my herd. I did manage to strike a minor goldmine day at a thrift store of G3 goodies, but we all know the Holy Grail of pony hunting is that .99 cent bag of G1s. I've been holding out hope for new G4s and I must have missed some memo about them being lost in a time warp because I've seen not a single ray of light shining on a reason they'll be coming my way soon. A large amount of my collection had to be put in storage for a while due to work in our home, so I didn't have a way to do entries or a place to welcome newcomers to anyway. Some fortunes have changed, however, that make me predict new ponies will be coming my way this summer. :) Time to go drag the charges out of storage so they can get ready for their close-ups.
I have noticed, however, that FiM has become an Internet phenomenon, even attracting a crowd of "bronies" who watch the show under the cover of darkness while their roommates or girlfriends are asleep. Or who knows, maybe they're openly flaunting their broniness by the light of day at this point. When even the dudes know who Rainbow Dash and Rarity are, you know the show has people's attentions. It's pretty awesome that after all these years the Ponies are still winning hearts. Only goes to show that the 80s had to have been the best decade to be a kid yet!
Had any good pony luck while I've been gone? Or bad pony luck, for that matter? And hey, I appreciate you sticking around with me! I have more ponies to give away, you know. :) Tons, in fact. I even have a nice big stash to sell along the way. Pony people need to hang around other pony people...what other people are going to understand why we're crying wretched tears of blood over the angst of losing that auction with Mimic and Munchy in it?

I Really Need Your Opinion on a G1 Thing :)
Hey, Dear Readers, I have a quick question for you. I have a project idea for a hand-crafted goodie for one of my contests themed around a G1 pony. Which G1 ponies do you think (aside from Minty) have the most fans? As in if something was made that was themed around that pony, a great deal of collectors would be interested. Please drop me a line on your thoughts in the comments section...I'm going to rely on your feelings to pick a pony or two for this to rotate around. :) I'm really excited to get this idea off the ground. The quicker I get a number of answers, the sooner I can begin! :D Thank you!

I'm Still Here
I'm still here, pony friends. :) I'm training for my first 5K race, the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run, and am really pressing myself through April to know I'm ready to do this. I've been hard at work to "become a runner," you might say, for a while now, but this winter I became very serious about the whole fandango. So there's been a bunch of days where I could have done a blog entry, but knew I needed to lace up the shoes and turn on the P90X; at the moment that comes first. I still also need to figure out a streamlined way to do entries because I just have so. many. props. Boxes and bins of pony playsets and accessories from just about everything you can think of to back the entries up. Finding one particular thing, despite micromanaging the whole mess with 8,000 sandwich bags, is like trying to find the one black cat with a white spot on its belly in a swimming pool filled with cats. I need to invite Anthony Bourdain over..make up some thing about eating plastic pony accessories being a Michigan delicacy just to filter out some of the duplicate stuff.
I'm looking at doing a Mother's Day-themed photo contest to give away a Newborn, but I'm looking for ideas that aren't the usual "Why I love my Mom" thing. Thoughts? I know a lot of us out there don't have super-duper relationships with our moms, so I don't want anyone feeling left out. Bohemian from MLP Arena had some great ideas...either "What did you want to be as a kid?" or "What trouble did you get into as a kid?" Sounds good, eh? I'm looking to be giving away a Tumbleweed Newborn Twin this time...excited about that because I know Milkweed & Tumbleweed are a popular pair. Believe me, I am keeping my eyes out for some bigtime ponies to give away as time goes by. I wonder how many entries I'd get if Mimic was the prize? ;)
I just wanted to stop in and say hi to my pony peeps. Don't forget to use your MLP coupons that came in the USA Sunday paper coupons last week! Are you scouring the stores waiting for new pony singles to come out like I am? :P

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
It's St. Paddy's Day! Do you know where your ponies are?
See, bunnies like to bring chaos and then hop away before anyone figures out who's to blame. Probably the worst of all when it comes to this are the "4 You" bunnies. They bring Pixy Stix to the foal daycare. Giant batches of cupcakes to the Pony Pound Pals weight loss meeting. Reams of catalogs dropped off at the door of a pony trying to save up her money. "SHOPPING 4 YOUUUUUU!" They couch it as a "service" or "just providing things ponies want" but c'mon! Anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows they are cackling their little bunny "HEEEEEEEHHHHH!!!" under their breath as they roll their carts away.
Worst of all, oh, just the most heinous of the bunch, are the "Booze 4 You" bunnies. Everyone knows that all it takes is a couple sips of Pale Oat Ale to send a pony reeling. They all avoid it like the plague. High-class ponies have a sip of very expensive vintage red wine during a special occasion....maybe. But the B4Y bunnies know if they play their cards right, they can start a party legends are made of and watch the ensuing pandemonium with glee....
"We are going to have such a classy St. Patrick's party! Green oat cakes by the pool, classic Irish tunes, and lots of good company! I love your bow, by the way."
"Oh, I know darling! Isn't it fabulous? I love St. Patrick's Day and we're going to have a party nopony will forget!"
"I invited the most civilized ponies, too. Witty, intelligent, and just so classy. Sigh! It's going to be such a delightful evening, my dear!"
The ponies began to arrive. They anticipated a night filled with the most civilized of entertainment. Perhaps they'd discuss the finer details of imported Irish hay. Debate over their favorite Irish artists. There might even be a rousing band of Irish ponies with blazing red hair playing traditional music...
It was not to be.
Stationed outside the palatial estate was a dreaded Booze 4 You bunny and crew. They knew they had the perfect venue targeted for maximum bedlam.
"Okay, now dis shood be easy. Chokkolat Bunny alreddy peeked in da windows and it looks like da perfekt cwowd. Just take dis glass full of gween Hay Ale to da door and dey'll come to oo. Ponees can't reesisst festive tings. HEEEEEEEEH!"
"I even found oo a dakkory baw! De ponees come up and drinkies and it wefills um...aud....audi...audimatikullies!"
Sure enough, when the bunnies lugged up the green-tinted liquid the ponies became fascinated. They all crowded around the gate cautiously, already thinking, Well, a little bit won't hurt! The other party host was coming around the corner after checking on how crowded the valet parking lot was. Gasp! Uncivilized! She hid behind an outer wall and tried to think of what to do....
"BOOZE 4 YOUUUUUUUUU! COME GET YOUR BOOZIES!"
"NO! NOT HERE! This is a classy party! Go away, dreadful bunnies! We don't want your uncivilized offerings!"
Think the bunnies went away?
Later....
"WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"
"PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!"
"No! The pool capacity is strictly three ponies! There are too many of you in there! You must vacate the pool immediately!"
"Y'know, hic you'd be a lot more fun if you hic loosenenened up!"
"Dreadful! Get that umbrella off of your horn! Have you no shame?!"
"Look! I'm Lady NeighNeigh! CAN'T READ MY, CAN'T READ MY NOOO HE CAN'T READ MY POOOOOKER FACE! PPPPPPPOKER FACE MUMMUMUMUMUMUMMM! PO-KER-FAAAAAAAACE!"
"Horrid! Putrid! Remove yourself from that chair! I am not paying for your vet bills if you fall!"
"DON'T CALL MY NAME, ALEJANDROOOOOOOO!"
"You too?! For shame! You drank all my oatmilk!"
"Issssssss hun. Gryyy. Urp!"
"MY COUCH! MY CHAIR!"
"ANARCHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"DOWN WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT!"
"I'M THE KING OF THE WORRRRRRRRRLD!"
"I think thish place is leaning, and schtuff...."
"I tink our jobbie hewe is done, Chokkolat Bunny! HEEEEEEEEEEH!"
It's a fine day to be Irish and I'm glad I am...so Happy St. Patrick's Day! Luck of the Irish to you and be safe tonight! If you see the B4Y bunnies coming, run the other way!

Black Friday Fallout: You Loves It
I can't help but notice that "Black Friday Fallout" is still a really popular entry. I'd love for you guys to tell me why this one has been a continuing favorite! Is it Monster High, or what? ::thoughtful face::
Hooray! My Little Trony Part 2 Is Done!
SORRY GUYS! MLT is on hold until I figure out a way to do Part 3 because my original plans got shot down. Thankfully I know a lot of people good with Photoshop!
HOORAY! The next installment of MLT is done. Just making sure my storyline is tight (oh, the ways your mind must contort when trying to apply the Tron world to ponies, of all things....). I'm revealing one of the bunnies' secret tactics for St. Patrick's Day in the meantime. Here's hoping they don't send a hitbunny out to get me for tattling on them...

The My Little Love Story Winner!
Congratulations! You guys really got us with this one. Had I known how difficult it would be to judge this contest, I probably would have just had everyone say "YAY PONIEZ," pick a number, and then let a random number generator choke up a number. Let's see....you blasted our butts with:
1) Adorable stories
2) Pathetic stories
3) Touching stories
4) Funny stories
5) Extremely romantic stories
6) Triumphant stories
Why so cruel?! You got me in all my soft spots! The entries were overall so loveable that it pained me to have to pick one. Alas, I did have to pick one....or did I?
"Hi, everyone! My name's Bedraggled Pony and I'm here to bring you the results of the My Little Love Story contest! I have big news for you, too. There's been a change to the winner's circle because..."
"Yah, oo is smart, Chokkolat Bunny! I has taut oo well!"
"No, you two long-eared creeps! What are you doing here, anyway? Are you everywhere, or what? This is my presentation! Get lost! I actually have good news and you're messing with my zen thing here! See, because the humans just couldn't agree on who the winner was...."
"WE IS HAS TOO WINNOOS!!!!!!"
"ARGH! Is it too much for a pony to ask to do this alone?! Well, cat's out of the bag. You heard it right...the humans picked two winners. Now get off my back!"
I made the executive order to choose two winners when I just happened to come across a second Milky Way since the contest began! Of course I didn't tell you guys. What's the fun in not springing a surprise on you? And I reeeeeally like surprises (keep that in mind for the future....). Thank goodness I did find a second because that took the edge off the excruciating pain in the behind it was to choose just one without losing our minds but, frankly, I still wish I could give everyone a prize. I could come up with a reason for every dang entry to win. ::facepalm::We truly enjoyed your entries so much, friends! Give yourselves a big pony hug right now and say "PTT loves me for being so rad." Because we do. The bunnies don't, though.
Congratulations
You both will have the joy and fun of dying to get a pony package in the mail! Time to stalk the mail person! Listen for any sounds that may be a mailbox opening! Feel the pulsing disappointment when you discover there's no package today!
As hard as it was to pick, these two kept coming to mind..and I'm thrilled to be able to treat you both! Let me introduce you to the lucky couples...
Katgyrl's Blossom and 4-Speed
4-Speed had been working big trucks all his life. He had worked on some of the greatest buildings known in all of Ponyland. Those who worked with him respected him and admired his diligence and hard work. When a job was given, he stuck to it like honey to a bushwooley. And then the accident happened. Another pony crashed their truck into 4-Speeds, causing his engine to catch on fire and knocking him unconscious in the driver’s seat. Other ponies were able to pull him out, but not before the fire charred his face. He survived, but was left with a horrible brown scar that forever reminded him of that day.
Because of his maimed appearance, other ponies no longer wanted to be around him. His friends were still polite, but avoided him whenever they could. 4-Speed began to sink into depression and believe that he would never be able to enjoy the company of another pony again.
But there was a filly that had been watching him from the quiet shadows. Blossom had noticed 4-Speed’s gentle heart, like when he paused to return a baby pony’s fallen bottle despite the anxious glances of the foal’s mother. She had always been too shy to approach him until one day she came upon him sitting by himself beneath a tall oak tree. That day she mustered up her courage and spoke to him. They both quickly realized how much they had in common, and before the end of the day had fallen in love. It had only been a week when 4-Speed asked Blossom to marry him, but Blossom knew she would not find another stallion like 4-Speed in the world.
They married under the oak tree where they first met, and every day their love deepens as they live life together and grow ever closer, as best friends should.

Sakuyamon's Sundance and Sweet Clover
It was many years ago now, when Sundances owner was a mere foal herself. It had been a christmas with snow deep and stars dancing, a gift with a big lovely bow was opened and revealed Sweet Clover. Sweetly their eyes met as their owner began to play with them together, like yin and yang they mirrored eachothers shy pose. In the young girls games they were lovers, not knowing of right and wrong, female and male. All they knew was their joyous love, their adventurous love!
Twenty years passed by, games changed and stopped, Sundance's and Sweet Clower's owner became busy with other things, but the love never disappeared! No oh! Still togheter! Many ponies joined their herd but for Sundance there was only sweet Sweet Clower. Through and through, they were always together. Lovely, sweetly, lovingly, always together! They knew they would never part, untill the end of time, even after their hair faded! It is true, true love!!! Together they sing "It was enchanting to meet you!"
This is a true story, ever since I got Sweet Clover she has been the constant lover of Sundance. Back then I didnt know about "girl love" but even now when I do, I still think they are a perfect match. I dunno why, if its that they mirror each other or something but I guess perhaps there are toys which are fated for each other...
